Site work and paving for a road / highway in Eaton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Bids are to be for complete work, including all laying and compacting of bituminous asphalt concrete and tack coat. Bids are to be submitted on a unit basis - gallons and tons applied to Township roads and are to be submitted according to the specifications included with the bid forms. The outside of the sealed bid shall be marked with "Dixon Township Summer Road Work 2022". Total estimated cost for the entire project will not exceed $195,500. In accordance with R.C. 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid bond or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the order of the Board of Trustees of Dixon Township, Preble County, Ohio. The bid bond or certified check shall be in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the bid and shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of the bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions, R.C. 4115.02 et. seq., governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on public improvements, and also to R.C. 153.59 regarding nondiscrimination. The Board of Trustees of Dixon Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
