Alton School District invites interested vendors to submit bids to automate the 3-4 wing classrooms, common area and Boiler Rm 5 controls during the summer of 2022 (July 1 - August 31) at the Alton Central School, 41 School Street, Alton NH 03809. During the term of the contract the Contractor shall maintain comprehensive general liability bodily injury in the amount of $1,000,000 for each person/each occurrence, subject to a $2,000,000 aggregate and property damage in the amount of $1,000,000. Finally, workers' compensation coverage as required by federal and state statute. The Alton School Board reserves the right to negotiate with the selected bidder to change the scope of work. The Alton School Board also reserves the right to negotiate with a bidder if all bids exceed the budgeted appropriation. Alton School Board reserves the right to waive any informality and accept or reject any, all or any part of a submitted quote and although price will be major factor in the District's award of the contract the District reserves the right to award the work to the party the Alton School Board determines is in the best interest of the District in the School Board's sole discretion. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. Scope of work as follows: Disconnect and dispose of all existing standalone controls for the 8 zones.
Install new DDC controls to better control the classrooms in the 3-4 wing and associated boiler room 5 and achieve better energy efficiency.
Install and program control system for boiler room 5 including (1) new boiler room controller and one Grundfos pump.
Install control system for the 8 zones/classrooms in the 3-4 wing including (8) unit controllers (8) new thermostats, and replace existing UV actuators to allow for total control of the heating operations.
Connect the new controls back to the main control buss in the boiler room to allow for customer interface with the existing system.
Test all operations of new controls and sequence of operations.
This project must include a 1-year warranty on parts and labor.
Add on. Install and program control system for boiler room 4 including (1) new boiler room controller and two Grundfos pumps.
All controls to be an extension of the existing Reliable controls system.
