Site work and paving for a civil project in Greig, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: removal of existing 15 ft. single span concrete structure, setting of a new 32 ft. long, 20 ft. span precast concrete box culvert, new precast concrete wingwalls, medium stone fill, approach work, and steel guiderail installation. Lewis County has pre- ordered the precast concrete box culvert and precast wingwalls from Jefferson Concrete Corp. The culvert will be ready for delivery as early as June 2022. The cost of design, fabrication, and delivery of the precast culvert and precast wingwalls is separate from this contract. This contract includes excavation, culvert setting, concrete closure pours, backfill, paving, and guide rail installation. Bids received after the above noted time will not be accepted. All sealed envelopes should be clearly labeled "BID: PRECAST CONCRETE BOX SETTING - COUNTY ROAD 40 (GREIG ROAD) OVER TANNERY CREEK, TOWN OF GREIG, NEW YORK". Bids shall be submitted in ONE (1) packet, in duplicate (1 original and 1 copy). The work shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and no later than September 30, 2022.
