Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The purpose of this project is to replace fire hose cabinet valves that are deemed deficient under NFPA25 requirements. There are 24 fire hose cabinets that need a 64mm fire department connection replaced but cannot be replaced from within the fire hose cabinet, there is also 1 location where the pipe appears to be bent behind the wall and will need to be replaced. It will be necessary to remove sections of the wall or hose cabinet to gain access piping and these walls will need to be reinstated after the work is complete. There is at least 1 location that will require removal and reinstatement of a heritage marble panel for access and heritage will need to be considered as part of the project. DSR and abatement may need to be completed at each of these locations. The operating team has compatible valves in inventory for this work.
