IEUA is seeking to prequalify construction contractors that are qualified to construct the RP-1 Digester 7 Roof Repairs and Rehabilitation, Project No. EN17042. The project intent is to repair Digester 7 external roof and internal ceiling and wall surfaces in addition to replacement of all specified mechanical piping, valves, supports and other components as detailed in the design drawings. External roof foam shall be completely removed, and positive coating and concrete repair system shall be applied to seal roof cracks and protect the roof from environmental elements. Internal protective coating is also failing and shall be completely removed and a new concrete repair and coating system shall be applied in the designated areas as shown in the design drawings. A good portion of the work takes place inside Digester 7, which is a confined space. It is required that scaffolding be installed inside the digester to perform the necessary internal repairs, piping replacement and coating. All roof manways, penetrations, etc. shall be removed, replaced and/or upgraded shown.
