The project includes demolition, earthwork, concrete, steel and wood frame construction of a one-story addition between existing buildings and interior alterations. Work includes steel beams and columns, open web and composite wood joists, plywood with gypsum underlayment, EIFS, curtainwall and storefront glazing systems, vinyl windows, membrane roofing, gypsum wallboard, carpet, resilient and wood base, cabinets and countertops, operable partition, extension of fire suppression system, plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and additional items as shown on the Contract Documents. Prime Bidders, Mechanical and Electrical sub-bidders who are bidding without procuring plans from the Architect are encouraged to provide contact information to the Architect for inclusion in bidder list and electronic notifications. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount equal to five percent (5) of the amount of the bid proposed. The City of Wenatchee in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
