The City of Pacific Grove invites sealed bids for Cemetery Grounds maintenance services (cemetery headstone trimming) Any bidder may withdraw his or her bid, either personally or by written request at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, but no bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening thereof. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The contracted firm will be required to sign a contract with the City relating to the work to be performed. The City anticipates entering into a one-year agreement with options to extend annually via mutual letter, for up to four (4) additional yearly increments. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder (as defined in the City purchasing regulations) whose work, in the opinion of the City Council will best meet the requirements of the City of Pacific Grove. It is clearly understood by all bidders that said Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in said bids.
