Marion County Public Works Department (County) is currently seeking professional engineering services for the analysis and design of traffic safety improvements along McKay Road NE in northwest Marion County. The Project will consist of the design and construction of intermittent safety improvements (traffic separation) along McKay Road NE from OR 219 (River Road NE) easterly to a point to be determined between French Prairie Road NE and Case Road NE. The traffic separation improvements will likely consist of the installation of center medians with rumble strips, center concrete barriers, or a combination of medians and barriers, along with associated roadway widening with appurtenances and drainage improvements. The County is seeking proposals from individuals, firms, teams or consultants, hereafter called proposer(s), with demonstrated experience in traffic and roadway design, and proposes to engage the successful Proposer for the services described in Section 6 of this RFP: The total estimated project cost, including design, survey, environmental, geotechnical engineering, construction, construction oversight and all administrative costs: $3,000,000. Estimated range of costs for the A&E and Related Services required under this RFP: $600,000 to $700,000 All firms submitting proposals are referred to as proposers in this document; after negotiations, the awarded Proposer will be designated as Consultant or Contractor.
