In general the work includes concrete curb and gutter, asphalt surfacing, lighting, and roadway markings. Deadline for inquiries January 4, 2023 3:00:00 PM Yukon Local Time LOCATION 1: FIR STREET SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS School zone improvements along Fir Street near Jack Hulland Elementary School to address safety concerns include: a. curb extensions, b. new separated sidewalks and c. enhanced paint markings. The City expects this Work be completed on or before August 31, 2023 LOCATION 2: RAISED PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE CROSSING Installation of a raised pedestrian and bicycle crossing at the Canadian Tire Access to Two Mile Hill. The City expects this Work be completed on or before July 31, 2023. Bid Security and Contract Security shall be based on no G.S.T. a) Each bid shall be accompanied by security as follows: i. where the tender amount, exclusive of G.S.T., is $500,000.00 or more: a. a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the tender amount; plus b. a Consent of Surety for a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond, each for not less than 50% of the tender amount; OR ii. where the tender amount, exclusive of G.S.T., is $50,000.00 or more but less than $500,000.00, Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the tender amount; OR iii. where the tender amount, exclusive of G.S.T., is less than $50,000.00, the Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the tender amount. b) The Bid Security shall be retained until the Successful Bidder has provided approved Contract Security to the City, as specified under the Terms of the Contract Documents. c) All Bid Security and all Contract Security which is required by the contract documents and which is in the form of surety bonds shall be issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Yukon Territory and approved by the City.
