For the purposes hereof, a cord of Firewood is a stack of logs measuring 120 cm (or 4 ft) high by 240 cm (or 8 ft) long. The Wood must be split as much as possible into quarters no more than 15 cm (or 6 in.) wide. The length of the quarters may vary between 38 cm (or 15 in) to 40 cm (or 16 in). The Wood must include at least 40% birch. 75% of the Wood must be split small. The Firewood must be dry and contain a maximum of twenty percent (20%) of humidity. The Wood must not come from regions regulated with respect to invasive species, including the emerald ash borer. The supply contract is for a period of one (1) year starting on November 1 , 2022 and ending on October 31, 2023. The supply contract may be renewed for an additional year, i.e. from November 1 , 2023 as of October 31, 2024.
