As of October 8, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of work encompasses field inspection and establishment of priorities for bridge rehabilitation, specifically the use of cementitious overlays, both composite and non-composite, deck replacement, and miscellaneous structural repairs on a multi-lane expressway facility. The primary work elements include: partial depth conventional demolition or hydrodemolition of the top surface of the existing deck, construction of a composite or non-composite overlay consisting of high density, impermeable, cementitious overlay, full depth conventional demolition of the deck with deck replacement, and miscellaneous structural repairs. The most recent biennial inspection reports and/or repair contracts for the list of bridges shall serve as the basis for establishing the scope of work for Contract No. T100.646. The Consultant shall prioritize recommendations to remain within the current construction budget of $70 Million. As part of the Phase A design submission, the Consultant shall submit an inventory of all areas of work which are deemed warranted for repair. From this inventory, the Consultant shall offer recommendations to address the highest priority repairs on each bridge while remaining within the construction budget. These recommendations shall be supported by narrative in the Phase A report which substantiates the rationale for excluding or including each repair type in the inventory of warranted repairs. For staged construction of deck overlay installation and deck reconstruction, temporary concrete construction barrier, Type 4 will be used. Layout and joint class is to be determined by the design consultant. Since the majority of the construction is in the travel lanes, traffic will frequently be shifted to the shoulders. The scope of work includes evaluating the shoulders with respect to pavement resurfacing, inlet reconstruction and guide rail standards. Traffic shifting is accomplished by means of obliteration of the existing striping and the use of temporary striping. Inquiries pertaining to this RFEOI are to be directed in writing to Sheri L.
