Site work for a water / sewer project in Cloverdale, Oregon. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of July 13, 2022. The City decided to postpone our Sand Lake Large Wood Placement Project implementation until next summer. Our bid offer was announced rather late and many contractors were already obligated for this season. We’ll be sure to send you the updated bid offer early in 2023 so that you can consider bidding on this project. This project requires the services of a contractor to place and/or assemble up to 80 individual placements and large wood (log) in-stream habitat structures for fish and ecological function on three tributaries of Sand Lake in Tillamook County as follows: thirteen (13) individual wood placements or structures in and adjacent to the mainstem channel of Sand Creek (see maps), thirty-six (36) individual wood placements or structures in and adjacent to the mainstem channel of Andy Creek (see maps), and thirty-one (31) individual wood placements or structures in and adjacent to the mainstem channel of Jewel Creek (see maps). Key pieces in individual placements and in structures are to be large (30' plus, 18" plus, boles with attached root wads, with key pieces to be ballasted by rootless logs of similar dimensions. All wood/logs will be stockpiled at staging locations by the Contracting Officer at landings/locations within 1/3 mile of placement sites prior to the commencement of work on any of the streams. Any on-site trees that require removal in order for equipment to access the placement sites may also be utilized in the individual placements and structures. The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment required to complete the placements. The work includes furnishing all labor and equipment for as many as 80 project sites. Multiple placements may occur simultaneously depending on contractor's personnel and equipment. Contractor will use equipment to: clear transport paths, transport logs with and without root wads from staging locations within 1/3 mile of placement sites to the sites, place logs such that they are in contact with the channel bank and bed and keyed into existing streamside trees where possible to limit their mobilization during high flow events. Equipment is NOT to enter the streams. The contractor is not approved for in stream work in the absence of the Biologist and Contracting Officer or their assigned agents. Assigned agents with prior approval are fish biologist and hydrologist staff from any of the following partner agencies: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. NESTUCCA, NESKOWIN, AND SAND LAKE WATERSHEDS COUNCIL (NNSLWC) LARGE WOOD PLACEMENT PROJECT The Net, and Sand Lake Watersheds Council is soliciting bids from contractors experienced in placement of large wood for in-stream habitat restoration. The contract awarded under this invitation to bid is subject to the payment of current BOLI prevailing wages.
