Completed contractor prequalification packages will be received by Northeast Alabama Water District at the main office until the date and time specified below. All pre-qualification packages must be sealed, and the purpose of the package must be clearly marked on the envelope. All parties submitting a pre-qualification package will be notified, in writing, of pre-qualification or rejection. Packages will be evaluated on the completion of the Contractors Affidavit of Qualifications, and the Financial Supplement attached thereto. Northeast Alabama Water, Sewer & Fire Protection District may reject, for good cause, any contractors qualification to bid. Such good cause shall include, but shall not be limited to lack of competency or work experience; work history, lack of machinery and equipment; failure to complete the packet, Owners telephonic communication with previous project representatives identified in the application to obtain their appraisals of the applicants performance or the lack of financial resources as revealed by the Contractors Affidavit of Qualifications, and/or Financial Supplement. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for all pre-qualified contractors that have been notified by Northeast Alabama Water, Sewer & Fire Protection District will be scheduled for early July, 2022, and the contractors that have successfully pre-qualified will be required to attend in order to receive bid specifications. Contractors electing to be prequalified for these projects shall be licensed in the State of Alabama and a copy of their Alabama General Contractors Licenses shall be submitted with pre-qualification packet.
