The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of City of New Albany will consider Sealed Bid(s), for the above designated construction project, and the award, if made, will be at the best value to the government and City of New Albany residents. Scope of work for this project shall consist of the following: Overexcavation and placement of granular fill in proposed splash pad location, any/all necessary erosion control measures, and construction of proposed NA Spray Park to the plans and specifications provided (including, but not limited to, the installation of all pumps, water piping, drain lines, appurtenances, concrete surfaces, above ground structures, ext...). Contract time provided for the completion of this project is 60 Calendar Days. Contractor shall commence work on or before the date stipulated as the Notice To Proceed date. Should no award be made within Sixty (60) calendar days after opening of bids, all bids may be re- jected and all bid guaranties re- turned. All Bid(s) shall be submitted on the provided Bid Form(s), in a sealed envelope, bearing on the outside the name and address of the Bidder, the project name (NA Spray Park Project), and the Bid- der's certificate of responsibility number, as designated in the No- tice to Bidders. Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Mississippi Resident Agent or Mississippi Non-Resident Agent licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi, with Power of Attorney attached, or Cashier's check or Certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to The City of New Albany, must accompany each bid. Any questions regarding the Bid Form and/or Contract Documents, outlining the Terms & Conditions, shall be submitted in writing to William Denton, at wdenton@nalgw.com. It is expected of each prospective bidder to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. To schedule a site visit, prospective bidders shall e-mail Chase Jeter, at cjeter@visitnewalbany.com, and request an on-site inspection. The deadline for submitting inquiries and/or request for an on-site inspection is Friday, June 24th, 2022, at 5:00 PM. Any questions or inspection requests submitted after the established deadline will not receive a response. The City of New Albany reserves the right to reject any/all Bids, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with Mississippi Law, deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
