**As of August 4, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $257,903.31** The project generally consists of the milling and overlay of Takolusa Drive within the Township of Holmdel. Approximate construction quantities for significant bid items include 14,650 SY of HMA milling, 1,700 TN of HMA 9.5M64 surface course, and other associated work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid or $20,000.00, whichever is less, payable without any conditional endorse!ment as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the bid security as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cashiers check. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid or $20,000.00, whichever is less, may be substituted for certified check or cashiers check, except the amount of the bid security shall not be less than $500.00 - nor more than $20,000.00. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey guaranteeing that if the proposal of the bidder is accepted they will furnish the bond as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. Bidders shall comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 latest revision, regarding Business Registration with the New Jersey Division of Revenue. The bidder (contractor) and all listed subcontractors shall comply with the requirements of the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. and must submit proof with the bid proposal. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., contractors on projects for public work shall adhere to all requirements of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. No firm may be issued a contract unless it complies with the affirmative action provisions N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Contractors must adhere to all require!ments of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended, the United States Occupational Safety, the Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended and the Americas With Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended. The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Township reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Holmdel, New Jersey for all proceed!ings, suits or actions of any kind or description and conditional for the faithful perform!ance of the work. The Township Committee of the Township of Holmdel reserves the right to reject any or all bids as permitted by statute if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the Township to do so.
