West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to achieve a turn-key repair of failed pipe anchors along the PRT guideway, as detailed in the attached drawings and specifications. Any peripheral equipment damaged or removed as a part of construction activities (i.e., surrounding concrete, piping, insulation, fencing, etc.), must be replaced in kind by the Contractor, in a manner approved by the Owner. The Contractor must secure the construction area following each day's work and shall report the beginning and end of the workday to the PRT maintenance shop. Parking - Contractor will have parking available but will need to purchase passes for each vehicle from WVU Transportation and Parking Office. Dumpsters and Staging Locations will be discussed during the Pre-Bid or Site Walk-Through. Cutoff for Questions: Date: June 14, 2022 Time: 12:00 pm EST The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Substantial Completion: July 22, 2022 Final Completion: August 1, 2022 There will be no Liquidated Damages (LD's) on this project. Open communication with the department regarding scheduling and other conflicts is imperative.
