The amount of approximately 8,700 tons of gravel or until the stockpile is depleted by the loaded mile of 25 ton per load. Gravel to be hauled from the May Pit located in Jackson County S Sec 24 T41 R40, to Central Loop roads. Delivery must be completed by November 1, 2022, weather conditions will be considered, with a late penalty imposed of $200.00 per day. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of insurance and provide certificate of insurance for Workmens Compensation. The successful bidder must provide a loader at the site and must have trucks available to haul. Successful bidder will also need to get a Haul Agreement from Oglala Sioux Tribe. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or bank draft in an amount equal to five percent (5) of the bid and issued by either a state or national bank and made payable to Bennett County. In lieu of a bid check, the bidder may submit a surety bond for ten percent (10) of the amount of bid. The surety is to be payable to Bennett County as a guarantee the bidder will provide the services. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked as Bid on Trucking. The Board of Bennett County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or technicalities therein, to advertise for new proposals, and to accept the bid that is to the best advantage of and is in the best interest of Bennett County.
