Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Westbury, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** his project consists of three separate contracts for compliance with Wicks Law and generally consists of the construction of a new advanced oxidation process and granular activated carbon facility including a building enclosure and new piping, valves, chemical treatment, standby generators, and all appurtenances and accessories as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The work also includes all associated connections to the existing wells and boosters at the site, power, controls, SCADA, all wiring and devices, site paving and restoration, and other utility work as shown and called for in conformance with the Contract Documents. Additionally, the work includes the renovation of existing and addition of new office space and associated mechanical and electrical work as shown and called for in conformance with the Contract Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or bank cashier's check made payable to OWNER, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state where the Project is located and having a Best Rating of A- or better from A.M. Best Company and named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Financial Management Service, Surety Bond Branch, U.S. Department of the Treasury, in an amount not less than five percent of the amount of the Bid submitted. The list may be ordered from the Government Printing Office Bookstore, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 110, New York, NY 10278, (212) 264-3825. Each Bidder must complete and submit with their bid the "Iranian Investment Activities Certification" provided in the Bid Form in compliance with General Municipal Law 103-g, Iranian Energy Sector Divestment. Each Bidder must complete and submit with their Bid the "Certification of Compliance with New York State Labor Law Section Two Hundred One-G" provided in the Bid Form regarding the implementation of a written policy addressing sexual harassment prevention in the workplace. The Bidder to whom the OWNER proposes to award the Contract will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds and the necessary insurance certificates as prescribed in the General Conditions and the Supplementary Conditions upon the execution of the Agreement within ten (10) days of the Notice of Award. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusive bidding certification required by Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. Bidders are also required to comply with the anti-discrimination provisions of Sections 290-301 of the Executive Law of the State of New York. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all of the Bids received, to readvertise for Bids, to abandon the project, to waive any or all informalities in any Bid received and to accept any proposal which the OWNER decides to be for the best interest of the OWNER. All questions must be submitted, in writing, to Frank Merklin no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 2022. Questions must be sent via email to fmerklin@dbeng.com. The Work to be done under this Contract and in accordance with these Specifications and Drawings consists of furnishing of plant equipment, superintendents, labor, skill, material and all other items necessary for the construction of the Drexel Avenue Station AOP Treatment and Office Renovation & Addition. The Contractors shall perform all Work required for such construction in accordance with the Contract Documents and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, complete and ready for use. B. The Work to be done under this Contract shall be the responsibility of three (3) Prime Contractors, a General Contractor, an Electrical Contractor, and a Plumbing Contractor, each skilled in the work described within the designated Divisions. The Prime Contractors may subcontract such work as requires mechanics other than those normally employed, but the entire responsibility for complete performance of the Contract shall remain with the Prime Contractors. C. The Prime Contractors shall coordinate and communicate with each other through verbal and written communication, as may be necessary to facilitate the progress of construction to conform to the project schedule and term as defined in the agreement. Communication shall include transmittal of approved shop drawings that contain information relevant to other trades and contracts, weekly updates to progress schedules, telephone communication to support the expedited completion of work, delivery of pipe sleeves, embedded equipment and coordination of masonry openings, and other means as necessary. D. Whenever used in these Contract Documents, the term "Engineer" shall refer to the firm of D&B Engineers and Architects, D.P.C., acting directly, or through properly authorized agents, such agents acting within the scope of the particular duties entrusted to them. The work to be completed under three contracts, Contract 2022-2 - General, 2022-3 - Electrical, and 2022-4 - Plumbing, includes, but may not be limited to, demolition of the existing garage building structure and foundations and all associated mechanical, HVAC and electrical equipment including hazardous materials abatement, demolition of one (1) natural gas fired emergency generator and one (1) diesel fired emergency generator, replacement of the packed tower treatment system transfer and booster pumps, replacement of the packed tower treatment system blowers, replacement of the Well 6 pump motor starter, replacement of the existing Well 7A pump and motor, construction of the proposed AOP and GAC treatment buildings, furnishing and installing an AOP and GAC treatment system and process equipment, piping, installation of instrumentation, equipment and control systems, ventilation equipment, SCADA improvements, security and alarm systems, electrical power and lighting systems, natural gas service improvements and heating system, installation of new stand-by power systems and equipment, installation of PSEG transformer, removal of an existing diesel storage tank and all accessories and appurtenances, as hown on the Contract Drawings, specified herein and as required for a complete installation. B. The work also includes demolition of existing administration areas including hazardous materials abatement and the renovation of these existing administration areas.
