Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
The Project is generally described as a one story, 3,165 square foot classroom building of B use occupancy and IIB construction in accordance with the 2018 North Carolina Building Code. The Driver Training Classroom building will be located southeast of the existing Wake County training center. Associated sitework is included to construct the building, parking lots, and improvements to the storm water facilities for the site. The building will be constructed of exterior brick on CMU cavity walls with metal roof trusses and a metal panel roof system. Exterior walls will be insulated with spray polyurethane insulation. Windows will consist of aluminum storefront and curtainwall with insulated glazing. The building will be fully sprinklered with an NFPA-13 sprinkler system. Addendum #1-#4 have been issued as of 7-5-2022.
