Leduc County, Engineering and Utilities Department, invites proposals from qualified consultants for the Transit Feasibility Study for Leduc County in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in the RFP. The proposed transit feasibility study project is to perform a transit needs assessment and feasibility study to better understand the transit requirements of the Nisku Business Park, and rural areas of Leduc County, including the Hamlet of New Sarepta. It is envisioned that the collection points could be communities within the County like the Village of Warburg, Town of Thorsby, and Town of Calmar. Integration with the transit services of the City of Leduc, the City of Edmonton, the Edmonton International Airport and the Edmonton Metropolitan Transit Services Commission will also be required. The study will also examine the unmet transportation needs of seniors and people with disabilities. The study will assist Leduc County in determining transit service requirements, including type of service, frequency, costing model and economic impact. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
