UAB will review applications as submitted and notify applicants within two (2) working days of submission. A. The scope of work for this project includes renovation approximately 4,895 square feet is Suite G133 of Volker Hall. The renovation area includes the following: 1. Three Simulation Rooms along with their associated Offices, and a Lab space. 2. The main corridor in the Suite will be included as an alternate. B. Scope of alterations work is indicated on drawings and generally as follows: 1. Selective demolition as indicated in the renovations areas. 2. Removal of the ceiling tile and lights (grid to remain and be modified and painted to receive new 2x2 ceiling tile, and new lights (lights to be furnished by Owner and installed by the contractor). Re-installation and modification to accommodate new ceiling grid, of any in ceiling fixtures or equipment (i.e. sprinklers, diffusers, fire alarm devices, etc.) unless specifically noted to be removed. 3. Removal of cabinets as noted on the drawings, and the repair of the VCT flooring and walls at these areas including the resilient base. 4. Removal of the fume hoods, capping of the vent ducts and other associated utilities, and repair of the VCT floor and base along with the ceiling in this area. 5. Painting of the walls and HM door frames of the rooms. C. Scope of Alternate No. 1 work includes alterations work as indicated on drawings for the main corridor: 1. Selective demolition of the ceiling and lights. 2. Installation of new Owner supplied light fixtures. 3. Painting of the walls and HM door frames.
