As of February 8, 2024, per owner, construction began in December 2023. A design team/general contractor have been identified. Wise County Industrial Development Authority, Virginia for Engineering Services the Wise County Industrial Development Authority (the Ida) Invites Statements of Qualifications and Proposals From Qualified Engineering Firms to Provide Professional Engineering Services for Site, Preparation, Site Development and Environmental Permitting Pertaining to the Elam Farm Infrastructure Development Project at the Lonesome Pine Regional Business and Technology Park. The Project Will Consist of Access Road Development, Water/sewer Utility Development and Associated Earthwork and Grading. Two or More Offerors May Be Selected to Provide Additional Information Through Individual Discussions. Offerors Will Be Ranked, and Negotiations Will First Be Conducted With the Top-ranked Firm. if a Contract Satisfactory and Advantageous to the Ida Can Be Negotiated at a Fair and Reasonable Price, the Award Shall Be Made to That Offeror. Otherwise, Negotiations With the Offeror Ranked First Shall Be Terminated and Negotiations Conducted With the Offeror Ranked Second, and So on, Until a Satisfactory Agreement Is Reached. This Request Is Without Regard to Race, Color, Religion, Sex, National Origin, Marital Status, Age or Physical or Mental Handicap. The Selected Firm Will Be Required to Comply With Federal Requirements, Including, but Not Limited to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1978, Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada of 1090), Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and Mbe/wbe Solicitation.
