The Municipality of Brighton is seeking proposals from experienced proponents to conduct a comprehensive study which will assess the existing and future requirements of the Brighton Sanitary Sewer Collection system. The Municipality currently has no model for its wastewater collection system. This project will include a review of available system information, collection/updating of existing infrastructure data, the creation of a complete hydraulic model, identification and analysis of existing issues and deficiencies, and the development of cost estimates and recommendations regarding infrastructure investment to resolve same. The model and analysis of the existing collection system shall include proposed developments which are currently in planning processes. This exercise will also include the analysis of alternatives to meet future demands in recognition of future land development and population projections for a 20 year horizon, Official Plan designations, and logical or practicable extensions that may be supported through future planning undertakings.
