This work will preserve the integrity of the pavement by preventing water infiltration and therefore prevent or slow asphalt aggregate binding degradation associated with water infiltration. In addition to preserving the pavement surface, mastic treatments may also have corrective properties that improve pavement rideability. The work will be done on select federal aid eligible state routes in various municipalities in the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester.
