Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Barron, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; and for the renovation of a medical facility.
As of February 4, 2026, this project is in the design stages. It may be issued to bid for subcontractors in May 2026. Construction is slated to begin in August 2026. Contractor" is all contractors working on a project regardless of contractual relationship. This includes the General Prime Contractor (GPC), MEP Subcontractors, Non-MEP Subcontractors, and all Subcontractors, regardless of tier of subcontract. "Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection subcontractor" ("MEP Subcontractor") is a contractor that performs mechanical (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, or fire protection (fire suppression) work for the Project and enters into a contract with the Construction Manager to perform their division of work. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Project Intent This project seeks to modernize the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostics Laboratory-Barron (WVDL-Barron), Wisconsin to create a modern scientific facility that meets the laboratory and space needs of the University and the State of Wisconsin, Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). The intent is to construct improvements to allow the WVDL-Barron to remain operational during the course of the project.
