.1 Provide new, complete, operational and tested mechanical systems for ventilation and controls systems, as described herein, indicated on the drawings and in full conformance with applicable codes, standards and ordinances. .2 Provide all labour, materials and products as specified, as required to accomplish this work. .3 The scope of HVAC work for this project generally includes: .1 Dust Collectors and associated safety devices .2 Gas fired make-up air units .3 Supply and exhaust air ductwork - high pressure and low pressure .4 Mechanical insulation (duct) .5 Blast gates (manual, none-adjustable) .6 Automatic Blast Gate Systems .7 Condensate Drainage Piping .8 Natural gas piping .9 Compressed Air Piping .10 Air systems balancing and measurement .11 Verification of systems operation and controls .4 Demolition and builder's work will include the following: .1 Demolition, painting, remediation, etc, as described in the specifications and on the drawings, to accommodate the Work. .2 Roofing .3 Construction of new sanding table .4 Concrete removal and replacement .5 Non-structural seismic protection .5 Structural Steel work will require the following: .1 Dust collector retrofits to install new safety devices and modify the existing enclosures to suit the new safety devices. .2 Steel framing below new make-up air units for support of the units and associated duct openings. .5 Electrical work will require the following: .1 Electrical power supply to mechanical equipment .2 New contactor panels for tool control from BMS system .3 Revisions to emergency stop system as required for new scope. .4 Start/stop buttons at tools connected to dust collection system .5 Wiring of line voltage relays and contactors as required to suit automatic gate system sequence of operations .6 Fire Alarm interconnection. .1 Coordinate with fire alarm service provider to connect dust collector to the fire alarm system. Dust collector is to shut down in case of fire alarm, refer to electrical drawings. .2 Installation shall be subject to inspection of the local Building Inspector and the local Fire Department. .7 The mechanical contractor shall act as the Prime Contractor for this project, responsible for the coordination of all trades required to carry out the work as described herein.
