Site work related to setting of pre-manufactured metal shade structure and associated accessibility improvements. Erection of shade structures (by others) will take place prior to majority of site work. This project is anticipated to start on approximately January 23, 2023 [date] and is anticipated to have a duration of 60 calendar days for completion. This is a prevailing wage project. OWNER has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract. These rates are on file at OWNER's office, and a copy may be obtained upon request, or at portal. Contractor shall post a copy of these rates at the job site. ALL PROJECTS OVER $1,000 ARE SUBJECT TO PREVAILING WAGE MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT BY THE LABOR COMMISSIONER. Mandatory Prequalification of general contractors and mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors is not required to bid on this project. A Payment Bond for contracts over $25,000 and a Performance Bond for all contracts will be required prior to commencement of work. These bonds shall be in the amounts and form called for in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid price payable to the Owner. The bid security shall be given as a guarantee that if awarded the contract the bidder will execute and return the Construction Agreement within 10 working days after award of the contract and will furnish on the prescribed forms a satisfactory Payment (labor and material) Bond and separate Performance Bond, in accordance with the Contract Documents and Civil Code Sections 9550 et seq., and certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the Contract Documents. In case of refusal or failure to timely execute the Construction Agreement and furnish the required bonds and insurance certificates, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner.
