As of August 19, 2022,this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to perform miscellaneous security improvements at ACSA assets throughout their territory. The contract will be for installation of site and building improvements at approximately 12-15 sites. Work will vary by site, but generally includes the following: fence repairs/replacement, fence fabric anchoring, gate hardware replacement, anti-climb ladder screens, tree removal, bollard installation and other similar modifications. Building modifications generally include: door and window replacement, card reader access, electrical panel modifications and conduit installation. Work is to be performed over the course of a 5-month period, commencing on the date of the Notice to Proceed. Performance Bonds are required for this project. A Bid Bond equal to at least 5% (five percent) of the bid amount is required. Bidders must be licensed contractors in Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia. The bidder and its subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 11246, as amended, and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding.
