As of January 23, 2023, the owner has decided to cancel the project. It will possibly be rebid as two separate projects, however, a decision has not been made in regards to rebid at this time. Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Government Code, Chapter 2269, Subchapter D, it is the intention of the Hutto Independent School District to select, via Competitive Sealed Proposals, a Contractor for the Original River Horse Demolition / Gym Renovation Project. - The Project consists of demolition of old school building, renovation to gymnasium building built in 1952, limited utility, grading, and site paving. Project Location: 302 College Street, Hutto, TX 78634 The Work consists of demolition, site work, asbestos abatement (in the demolished portion of the building), and all new and renovated construction building systems including but not limited to masonry, wood stud framing, doors & windows, miscellaneous metal work, drywall, finish The Project consists of the demolition of an old school building, renovation of a gymnasium building built in 1952, limited utility, grading, and site paving. The scope of the Work consists of demolition, site work, and all new and renovated construction building systems, including, but not limited to, masonry, wood stud framing, doors & windows, miscellaneous metalwork, drywall, finishes, covered walkway canopies, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and audio-visual work. Construction is contingent upon certain activities being completed within a specific timeframe, which will permit the District to meet its contemplated schedule. If these activities are not completed when required, the District may not proceed with construction as anticipated in this RFP.
