The City of Pittsburgh's Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, is soliciting bids for Cleaning of Parks Restrooms. The resulting contract from this bid solicitation will cover Custodial and Cleaning Services for Restrooms in City of Pittsburgh Parks. Cleaning of restroom equipment including urinals, commodes, sinks, grab bars, partitions, garbage cans, walls, and any other surface within the restroom. Restroom must be free of dust, dirt, bodily fluids or excrements The tasks included in this bid solicitation and resulting contract are to be completed by the vendor on the frequency as outlined below and in the attachment(s). Cleaning of restroom equipment including urinals, commodes, sinks, grab bars, partitions, garbage cans, walls, and any other surface within the restroom. Restroom must be free of dust, dirt, bodily fluids and excrements. Timeframes may include, but are not limited to, the following: Cleaning requirements shall occur daily Sunday through Saturday Hours will vary for each location; park hours are 6am-11pm Restrooms Mop and disinfect all floors. Restock all paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap dispensers. Clean and disinfect toilets and sinks. Wipe mirrors and windows with glass cleaner. Trash/Miscellaneous Empty all garbage cans and wastebaskets, and place new trash liner in a clean receptacle. Ensure water fountains are free of particles and dirt, and disinfect all handles and anything else as necessary. Light bulbs at a height of less than 10' will be replaced in all sockets, as necessary. If bathroom has a custodial: The custodial closet and sink will be clean and free of dirt and debris with no water in buckets or sinks and mops, rags and other cleaning tools properly cleansed stored and hung to dry on a daily basis. Any other tasks, as assigned. Cleaning and Supplies Consumable cleaning supplies shall be provided by the vendor, including trash bags, cleaning solutions, rags, and soap, etc. All products to be restocked shall be provided by the vendor, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. Cleaning equipment shall be provided by the vendor, to include mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, and buckets. Supplies All dispensers (hand soap, bathroom tissue, paper towels, etc.) will be restocked daily. Vendor is to provide all supplies needed to comply with the specifications listed SEE ALSO Attachment 3 - Specifications for Supplies. Supplies must be of type and quality specified by the City. Inspections The City may periodically inspect any or all areas of premises for the purpose of evaluation of cleaning services and determination of compliance with specifications. Inspections may occur at any time with or without notification of the vendor at the sole discretion of the City. The contractor will be provided twenty-four (24) hours to comply with deficiencies identified. Question Submission Deadline: June 22, 2022, 5:00pm Question Submission Method: All questions are to be submitted via Electronically. Period of Contract: July 1, 2022 through November 30, 2024. The City reserves the right to request clarification of any bid before bid award. The City reserves the right to reject, for any reason, any or all bids if it is in the best interest(s) of the City to do so.
