The Town of Middleborough is soliciting quotations in accordance with the contract pricing for Statewide Contract TRD02 for repaving of an outdoor asphalt basketball court, located at 26 Jackson Street, Middleborough Massachusetts 02346. This solicitation is issued in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30 39 M. Work includes re-paving and striping an existing outdoor basketball court. a. Mobilize equipment and install erosion controls as needed. b. Fill cracks and prepare existing asphalt for overlay. Cracks must be filled before new asphalt overlay is applied. c. Overlay 1.5" of asphalt over existing paved area (approximately 84'x 50'). d. Stripe asphalt overlay with paint using color palette similar to that of the existing basketball courts located on the park's upper level. Pictures of existing court and striping pattern The contract will be awarded to the vendor offering the lowest price for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation. A 50% payment bond is required at the time of award for all contracts exceeding $25,000.00. Insurance coverage is required for all contracts. Quotations are subject to the provisions of the M.G.L. c. 30 39 M as amended to date. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law (M.G.L. c 149 26 - 27H) as amended to date. A prevailing wage schedule for this project has been included in this solicitation The Town of Middleborough reserves the rights to reject any or all price quotations, or to accept quotes either in whole or in part, to award contracts by individual items or by lump sum total, or to waive any minor informalities or defects in any bid should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of Middleborough. Any price quotations submitted shall be binding for thirty (30) days beyond the date of submission. Questions must be sent in writing through the COMMBUYS portal in response to this solicitation by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Requests properly presented, that in the opinion of the Town require interpretation, correction, or change to this solicitation shall result in an issuance of an amendment to this solicitation. The successful Vendor must furnish a 50% Payment Bond as required at time of award issued by a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
