Project Name: 6 Intersections in Glendale, Install Flashing Yellow Arrows Project (TRACS) Number: T0349 01D District: Central Route/MP: Various Intersections Funding Source: Federal Construction Funding FY: 2023 The project scope includes the following: Installation of the flashing yellow arrow (FYA) protected/permissive phasing for six intersections within the City of Glendale. Additionally, a 3-inch retroreflective yellow tape will be installed on the all the signal heads at the six intersections. The locations are as follows: Bell Rd and 63rd Ave, Northern Ave and 56th Lane, Northern Ave and 47th Ave, Olive Ave and 47th Drive, Olive Ave and 55th Drive, and 67th Ave and Butler Drive. Three of these intersections (63rd Ave at Bell Rd, Northern Ave at 56th Lane, and Northern Ave at 47th Ave) currently have protected/permissive phasing and will be replaced with FYA signal heads, and pavement marking improvements will be made to eliminate negative offset for the left-turn lanes.For the remaining three intersections (Olive Ave at 47th Drive, Olive Ave at 55th Drive, and Butler Drive at 67th Ave), there is no exclusive left-turn phasing for the left-turn movement from the major arterial. The crashes at these intersections warrant left- turn phasing for left-turns from the major arterial. For these intersections, FYA protected/permissive phasing and pavement marking improvements to eliminate negative offset will be installed. For the remaining three intersections (Olive Ave at 47th Drive, Olive Ave at 55th Drive, and Butler Drive at 67th Ave), there is no exclusive left-turn phasing for the left-turn movement from the major arterial. Scope of Work: The consultant shall prepare preliminary and final construction documents, supporting documents, and all clearances necessary to bid and award the project for construction. The services shall include but are not limited to: Project Management, Agency Coordination, Site Visits, Survey/Control/Base Map Preparation, Geotechnical/Materials Report, Utility Data Acquisition and Coordination, Environmental Analysis, Cost Estimates, Schedules, Construction Phasing, and Traffic Control. Information provided in the Project Establishment Letter will be used as the basis for the final scope of work. Questions, in writing, shall be received by ECS at the below email address until 06/08/2022 at 2:00 P.M. (Arizona Time). No further questions shall be accepted after the time specified.
