Site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a clubhouse / community center in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; and clubhouse / community center.
The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of two facility expansions to the facility: a primary addition to the south, and a small addition to the east (north of the existing hall). The Work shall also consist of an interior renovation to the Hall and its associated washrooms, and reorientation and development of the parking lot area. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) The primary single storey fully sprinklered building addition to the south will extend the existing lobby, provide multi-purpose-rooms, a dance studio, a new pool viewing area to view into the existing pool, an open public lounge, and administration area, and community kitchen. The addition will be of steel construction with concrete hollow core floor structure over cast-in-place grade beams and piles. Building addition will be provided with a new crawlspace. (b) The small addition to the east replaces an existing staff room with an office and new staff room. The small addition will be of steel construction on a structural concrete slab. (c) The project includes an interior renovation to the hall and hall washroom, including the demolition of the raised stage. Gender specific washrooms and existing kitchen will be renovated to become universal washrooms (gender neutral). The hall will receive new flooring and paint refresh, along with connections to a new kitchen and to multipurpose room #3 in the primary addition. (d) Existing mechanical and electrical systems are being expanded to service the new additions and renovated areas, including a new rooftop make-up air unit to service the kitchen, and fixtures and equipment to suit the new layout. (e) Site work includes slight relocation of an existing natural gas line to accommodate the Work, new lighting to suit the new parking lot layout, new concrete curbs, and new soft landscaping against the building and within parking aisle curbed islands. A landscaped allee will be created to establish a connection between Ness Avenue and the main building entrance. The sustainability goal of the Project is to achieve LEED silver certified. The funds available for this Contract are $13,500,000. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
