Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bowling Green, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
These funds will be used to renovate academic buildings that primarily support Applied Sciences programs. BGU reports that most of these buildings are 50 to 90 years old and have not had major renovations. Specifically, these buildings will be modernized and reimagined to improve student experience by creating collaborative spaces and active learning environments. The buildings serve about 5,000 students and 500 faculty and staff. The total project cost for this biennium is estimated to be approximately $4.4 million, including $1.0 million from BGU sources. This project is in included in the Legislative Service Commission, Inc. FY 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
