The District seeks bids from qualified service providers for garbage, recycling, grit and rag disposal. The District requires two services; the first involves providing, maintaining, and picking up 8 yard containers for garbage and recycling at the main District Offices, two District Maintenance Shops, and the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility. These locations will require routine weekly pickups for garbage or biweekly pickups for recycle and will contain primarily office and other residential/light commercial type waste products. In addition to these containers, the District also requires the use and disposal of 20 yard containers containing screenings and grit removed from the waste stream of the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility. The District utilizes a system of conveyors and pumps to collect screenings into one 20 dumpster. JBWRF currently requires pickup and disposal of screenings Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings, with the requirement of retaining at least one empty dumpster on site between pickups for uninterrupted service. The frequency and quantity of pickup is subject to change based on hauling availability, holidays, weekends, and needs of the facility. Emergency or on call pickups may be required. An agreement may be executed with the successful bidder(s) for a one-year term and may be extended for 4 more years. The District reserves the right to award all garbage and recycling disposal services to one bidder, or split the award between two or more bidders. At the end of the first year term, the agreement(s) may be extended for additional four, one-year terms, not to exceed a total of five (5) years. Inquiries about this Invitation to Bid may be submitted to the District electronically on or before close of business Friday, June 24, 2022 The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formality in a bid and to make awards in the interest of the District. Discounts offered under payment terms, or award of multiple bid items to a single Bidder, will be evaluated to determine the lowest overall cost to the District. The District may select a single Bidder for the supply and delivery of all bid items or different Bidders for the supply and delivery of any or all items separately
