Provide electrical engineering services to perform an Engineered Arc Flash Study for NC Department of Public Safety. These services will be performed across all campus buildings, and the owner's medium voltage distribution system (where present). Total Project Budget $2,976,250. The Professional Designer shall be responsible for providing the services of a qualified electrician who is trained in identifying arc flash hazard and will use proper PPE to remove panel covers where required to obtain the information necessary to complete the arc flash model. Provide the single-line diagrams for each of the buildings to be used in the Power System Studies for owner review and approval prior to performing the studies. Provide preliminary Power System Studies and electronic Arc Flash and Shock Hazard warning labels for the Agencies review and approval prior to printing physical labels. Provide mitigation recommendations for the Agencies consideration to reduce the arc flash incident energy where possible. Incorporate Agencies review comments from the preliminary Power System Studies and provide final Power System Studies and Arc Flash Risk Assessment report. Provide and Install Agencies approved Arc Flash warning labels on each equipment evaluated. Provide electronic copy of each of the system models to the Agency. Due to the large volume of work over the large geographic territory, NCDPS intends to select and contract with multiple design firms.
