GENERAL The US Geological Survey has a requirement to improve drainage in the parking lot at 230 Collins Road, Boise ID. 1. BACKGROUND. The ID-WSC's rear parking lot floods during periods of heavy rainfall rendering numerous parking spaces unusable and creates a safety hazard during freezing weather. To eliminate this, a drain line needs to be installed from the central drainage basin to the retention pond located east of BLDG 1 (Newell). 2. WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR. Install approximately 200 feet of 4- inch drainage pipe in the central drainage basin to the retention pond located east of BLDG 1 (Newell). Pipe will be horizontally drilled from central drainage basin in the rear parking lot to release excess water into the retention pond. Inlet of pipe will be grated to prevent debris intrusion and positioned at or just below grade. Drainage pipe will slope towards the retention pond, to quickly evacuate excess water from the central drainage basin. OSHA practices will be complied with at all times. 3. SUMMARY OF DELIVERABLE. The contractor will receive all deliverables. The Government will not receive any deliverables directly to the USGS ID-WSC campus. 4. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Bureau of Reclamation/USGS ID-WSC 230 Collins Rd. Boise, ID 83702 II. WORK REQUIREMENTS Work Schedule Services will be performed between the hours of: 7:30am through 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. General Requirements Drainage pipe shall conform to industry standards for adequate strength and quality to allow a vehicle to drive across without cracking or breaking. III. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA The contractor will have 21 days from award notice to proceed to complete the job. Significant lead time on parts should be immediately communicated to the assigned Technical Representative and COR if it will have any effect on the 21-day window to complete. After project completion, the Technical Representative will inspect the contractor's performance of services. If it is determined the contractor has failed to perform any of the duties defined above, the Technical Representative will immediately notify the contractor with complete details of all deficiencies. The contractor will correct the deficiencies prior to issuance of payment. IV. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Equipment: None. Supplies: None. V. WARRANTY PERIOD: Required 12-month warranty period on all parts and labor during the installation of the parking lot drainage system.
