Demolition, site work and addition to an elderly care / assisted living facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the addition of a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Contractor shall deconstruct an existing portal and remove the concrete patio floor and benches, saving re-usable materials for Owner. Construct a 30' x 30' addition using insulated concrete forms and a fireplace to the existing dining room and add a pantry and hallway off of the existing kitchen. Remove pass-through window to create walk-thru opening from Kitchen to the existing dining area. Add Alternates include a Southside atrium (16' x 46.5'), a Westside portal (10'x30'), and an exterior concrete slab (12'x 28'). All inquiries should be directed to Joel C. Bidders are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves as to all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of performance of the contract to the extent such information is reasonably obtainable. In no event will a failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for withdrawal of a bid after opening or constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. A bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft payable to the Owner, Irrevocable letter of credit, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, is required to be submitted with each bid. The project will be awarded to the bidder who demonstrates successful completion of similar projects through project descriptions, references and photographic records. Also factored into the decision will be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid does not exceed the amount of funds estimated by the Owner to be available for construction of the project. This project will be subject to any applicable Small, Minority, Woman, Disabled, Veteran, or Native American (S-M-W-D-V-NA) Preference requirements. Only bids meeting all of the bid requirements included herein shall be considered for award. In the event that the lowest bidder is not awarded a contract, a dissenting contractor has 48 hours in which to file a written complaint. Competition in this bid solicitation will be open to all qualified bidders. However, if a bid is received from a qualified Small, Minority, Woman, Disabled, Veteran, 8(a) or Native American (S-M-W-D-V-NA) Company which is within 5% of the lowest responsible bidder; the contract will be awarded to the (S-M-W-D-V-NA) bidder. 8(a) companies shall provide Small Business Administration (SBA) documentation. Bidder claiming (S-M-W-D-V-NA) Preference will be required to submit a completed questionnaire/statement to the Owner providing proof of (S-M-W-D-V-NA) ownership. If a bidder is claiming Small, Minority, Woman, Disabled, Veteran, 8(a), or Native American Preference, he/she must submit a Questionnaire/Statement to the Owner seven (7) calendar days prior to the time of the bid opening. Award of this contract is subject to a determination by the U.S. System Award Management (S.A.M.) that the contractor is eligible to contract for federally funded activities and not on the Debarment List. The Contractor is responsible for scheduling and paying for all inspections which would be required by Santa Fe County for any commercial building constructed within its boundaries.
