This Contract provides for the rehabilitation of 2nd Street from State Avenue to 47th Avenue. The work to be performed under this contract includes the removal of various existing site improvements, installation of new water and storm systems, bioretention areas, cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, median, traffic circles, site grading, asphalt overlays, landscaping, irrigation system, and pavement markings. Additional items of work include temporary erosion control, traffic control and general site restoration, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All work must be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of forty-five (45) days. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
