Site work and paving for a road / highway in S Zanesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and tools necessary toplaceandcompact asphalt on prepared roadways that are acceptable to the County Engineer andTownship Trustees. All materials shall meet current Ohio Department of Transportation(ODOT). Specifications and shall come from a source certified by ODOT. All equipment shall meet current ODOT Specifications. The contractor shall clean and otherwise prepare the surface for paving. Bridgetreatments shall be directed by the Engineer to provide a smooth road surface. Noasphalt shall be placed on bridges without authorization fromthe Engineer. Thecontractor shall place a butt joint across the entire width of the roadway as directedbythe County Engineer to provide a level transition from new asphalt to existingpavement. Butt joints and feathering at bridges and intersections should comply withODOTstandard construction drawing BP-3.1. LENGTH: 4.98 miles THICKNESS: 1.5 inches Asphalt paving of various streets. Newton Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Questions may be directed to Newton Township Trustees at (740) 221-4156. Bidders shall be required to submit a current Ohio Department of Transportation Certification of Qualifications, which shows they are currently qualified to perform asphalt paving.
