The Massachusetts Port Authority (the "Authority" or "Massport") invites proposals from persons or firms (sometimes hereinafter referred to as the "Proposer" or "Proposers") interested in entering into a full service contract for the provision of janitorial services at the Logan Office Center, the Bird Island Flats parking garage (the "Parking Garage") and janitorial policing of the adjacent Surface Parking Lots "A" and "B", and walkways, all of which are situated on Boston-Logan International Airport and located at One and Three Harborside Drive, East Boston, Massachusetts. See Attachment A-1 PLAN OF FACILITIES for a location map. The Contract is for a three (3) year period with two (2) one year options at the Authority's discretion beginning August 1, 2022. The Logan Office Center is a three-story 178,000 square foot first-class office building located at One Harborside Drive on the south side of Boston-Logan International Airport. The Logan Office Center is currently occupied by the Authority's Executive Administration offices and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transportation - Aeronautics Division. The Logan Office Center has approximately 400 occupants and an average of 100 visitors per day. Contractor shall provide two (2) employees for daytime basic services ("Day Porters") between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week) except holidays. Night Time basic services shall be performed between the hours of 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday except holidays. A minimum overlap of one (1) employee from each shift of at least thirty minutes is required to ensure face to face briefings between shifts. Monthly and quarterly services will be completed on the weekend unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the Authority's Management Representative. Contractor shall be available on an on-call basis for Emergency Services twenty-four (24) hours per day/three hundred sixty-five (365) days a year. Upon execution of the Contract, the successful Proposer shall deposit with the Authority, Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) in the form of one of the following: (i) a performance bond in form and substance satisfactory to the Authority with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Authority, or (ii) a certified check, a treasurer's check, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the "Massachusetts Port Authority",, or (iii) subject to the prior written approval by the Authority, an irrevocable letter of credit in the form attached as Exhibit G to the Contract (the "Security Deposit"). The Security Deposit shall be held as security for the faithful and punctual performance of the successful Proposer's obligations under the Contract. 06/17/2022 05:00 PM EDT All questions will be answered via online.
