Renovation of a fire / police facility in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Work includes furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary and required for the completion of the application of roofing, internal, and external components as indicated on the construction drawings and specified. 1. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to fully investigate the existing conditions and scope recommendations associated with this project prior to submitting a bid. 2. All construction and construction actions shall comply with local, state, and federal safety codes/requirements. 3. Contractor shall supply, receive, off-load, and maintain all materials and equipment needed to support and achieve the work described above. 4. All equipment necessary to perform the work shall be provided by the Contractor. The use of Escambia County's equipment and personnel shall not be permitted. 5. The Contractor shall protect the building components and surrounding property from any damagedirectly or indirectly related to the construction activities and provide all construction barriers required by this work to protect the Contractors and Escambia County's property and personnel. 6. The Contractors bid shall include, but not be limited to, mobilization, safety, overhead equipment,materials installation equipment, personnel, and profit fees to perform the work described. 7. The contractor shall verify all existing conditions referred to in the document and take steps necessary for compliance with the recommendations and specific drawing details. 8. Work shall be limited to normal business hours only, unless prior approval is requested, and granted. 9. Contractor shall be responsible for securing all materials staging areas and permits required to perform the work. 10. Due to the anticipated delay in production, and delivery, of certain construction materials required to complete this project, if manufacturing and delivery of construction materials is greater than 30 days, the Contractor shall provide written notification from the manufacturer and request a change order to the contract time. 11. Work shall be completed within 30 calendar days. Contractor is encouraged to perform a bid walkthrough of the work area to field measure and verify all documented dimensions and component counts. Square footages listed below are estimates only. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The Pleasant Grove Fire Station building site encompasses an approximate 10,000 square foot footprint. The building is a two (2) story structure. Of significant note, there is a large two (2) story warehouse with double bay doors and an attached lean-to shed structure on the southeast side of the building. The exterior facade was observed to be R-panel metal siding with a brick facing on the first floor of the east side of the building. An aluminum canopy was noted over the front door. The roof was observed to be an R-panel metal roof with skylights above the cargo bay. Also observed was a gutter and downspout drainage system at the edge of the roofline. The interior was comprised of walls finished in painted gypsum wallboard, and the ceilings were suspended ceiling grid systems with lay-in ceiling tiles. Exterior: 1. Proper staging of materials. Materials shall arrive onsite in their manufacturers labeling and be kept in a watertight/temperature safe environment prior to installation as per all manufacturers' recommendations that apply. 2. Remove the damaged portion of metal fascia trim along the southern edge of the aluminum canopy that covers the front door entrance. Once removed, assess the canopy for any additional damages that were hidden by the damaged trim and repair as needed. If no further damages are noted, install new metal fascia trim that is a like kind and quality component per the manufacturer recommendations. Ensure new fascia edge metal matches the existing fascia edge metal with regards to profile, color, and size. Roof: 1. Proper staging of materials. Materials shall arrive onsite in their manufacturers labeling and be kept in a watertight/temperature safe environment prior to installation as per all manufacturers' recommendations that apply. 2. Remove approximately 495 square feet of impact damaged metal R-panels on the roof along with approximately ninety-nine (99) square feet of metal R-panel at the southeastern corner of the building in order to expose the moisture damaged lumber nailer at the edge of the roofline. 3. Remove the moisture damaged length of lumber nailer at the southeast corner of the roof and replace it with an equivalent length of new lumber nailer that is of like kind and quality. 4. Install new metal R-panels on the roof, both where previously removed for impact damage and where removed to expose the lumber nailer. These new panels should be of like kind and quality and match the existing panels with regards to profile, color, and size. Install new metal R-panels per manufacturer recommendations. Interior: 1. Proper staging of materials. Materials shall arrive onsite in their manufacturers labeling and be kept in a watertight/temperature safe environment prior to installation as per all manufacturers' recommendations that apply. 2. Remove and replace approximately three (3) 2' x 4' and one (1) 2' x 2' moisture damaged fine texture mineral fiber lay-in ceiling tiles with like kind and quality components in the second floor bunk room. 3. Remove and replace approximately fifty (50) square feet of moisture damaged batt insulation above the ceiling in the second floor bunk room with like kind and quality materials.
