Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Notre-Dame-des-Bois, Quebec. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
Construction work to highlight the natural site through various amenities: Development of the observation terrace, installation of a telescope and build an animation dome that will be able to accommodate 90 people. Conversion of an existing residence for astronomers of University of Montreal of 387 m2 into a shelter that will be able to accommodate 20 people and hikers. Construction of a new residence (87 m2) for the astronomers annexed to the existing building. Construction of a trail toboggan for 1 km. TIMELINE: Contract for architectural services to complete design and monitor construction work has been awarded following request for proposals # 07-12903A. Contract for engineering services to complete design and monitor construction work has been awarded following request for proposals # 07-12903I. Further update in fall, 2023. Project might be developed in two phases. If funding is available project will be developed in one phase, if not all funding will be available construction will be done in two phases. Phase 1 is covered in the report under ID name: Parc National du Mont-Mégantic Development, Phase 1.
