Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Beckley, West Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 120,000-square-foot, 120-bed medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
The mission or purpose of the project for which bids are being solicited is to provide architecture and engineering design services and to provide construction bid documents suitable for advertisement using State purchasing procedures, meeting all appropriate building codes, ADA compliance, force protection standards and to perform construction administration services for the construction of a 120,000 square-foot, 120-bed veterans nursing facility on an approximately 12-acre tract of land adjacent in the northeast direction to the Jackie Withrow Hospital, 105 South Eisenhower Drive, Beckley, WV. Construction of the nursing facility must be in accordance with guidelines established under the Small House Model Design Guide, Office of Construction and Facilities Management, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The initial phase of the project will require that the awarded vendor provide a design for construction that is 35% complete. ("Project"). The award, execution and completion of this contract is contingent upon the receipt of fundingdocumentation. As of March 5, 2026, this project has been cancelled.
