Renovation of a municipal facility in Fox Lake, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
** This project has been officially awarded to Platinum Terrain LLC. ** Tall Oaks Filter Building currently contains a 12 concrete wall approximately 6 ft tall with approximately 10ft of block wall atop. The following items should be included in the bid. Item 1 – Excavation of a 45’ wide opening for a new garage door to the existing driveway, spoils to be removed from site Item 2 – Cutting the opening in the concrete and block to accommodate the 14x12 door – Door location to be determined by the placement of the opener for proper operation Item 3 – Installation of the properly sized lintel for the door opening Item 4 – Finish trim to match existing building in the opening Item 5 – Installation of a minimum 2” insulated commercial 14 foot tall and 12 foot wide overhead door Item 6 – Installation of a Liftmaster 1/2HP MT5011UG-14 Item 7 – Installation of a minimum 4x4 commercial channel drain 10 feet wide, connected to the existing floor drain inside the building. Including concrete removal/replacement and plumbing Item 8 – Installation of a minimum 6” thick retaining wall with footings to run from grade at the building and follow grade to approximately 48 feet away from the building Item 9 – Installation of a 6 inch 4000 psi concrete drive with 6 inch wire reinforcement or equivalent over a compacted minimum 6 inch CA6 gravel base, to meet existing roadway Item 10 – Contractor to provide final grading, seed and blanket in disturbed areas It is the intention of the Village to have a garage door installed in the East side of the filter building at Tall Oaks. The installation of a 14 foot (tall) and 12 feet (wide) insulated garage door with opener in a wall that is partially 12 inch concrete and 8 inch block. Excavation of the area, cutting the opening, installation of proper lintel/header, two (2) concrete retaining walls, driveway and commercial channel drain to be connected to the existing building floor drain. SCOPE OF WORK The CONTRACTOR agrees to furnish all the labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary to completein every detail the installation of the garage door/opener, retaining walls and concrete driveway. All excavated spoils to be removed from site. Proper protective equipment is required, as well as coordination with any applicable utility companies.
