Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking a qualified general contractor to lead the expansion of the Conklin Sewage Lagoon. Work will include the construction of a new Storage Cell, two new Facultative Cells and the retrofitting of the existing facultative cells. The work will include the development of an adjacent borrow site and following construction the restoration of same borrow site. The new cells will be lined with Geo-composite Clay Liner and sand bedding. Side slopes will be protected with precast concrete block-fabric in storage cells and facultative cell and a fabric formed concrete spill-way is to be installed in the new septage receiving station. The scope of work also include the installation of pre-cast concrete flow control structures. All disturbed areas will be restored with existing top-soil and revegetated. Important to note that this is an active facility and will remain operational during construction. The successful contractor will be required to coordinate the work with the Municipality ensure no impediment to the operation of the lagoon.
