The scope of work includes the following: The scope of work includes removal of the existing concrete bridge and wingwalls, installation of a temporary cofferdam, installation of a new precast concrete arch and headwalls, construction of cast-in-place concrete footings and wingwalls, installation of bridge rail, new sidewalk and guardrail, installation of new drainage manholes, catch basins and pipe, and widening and full depth reconstruction of Mill Street within the project limits, slope grading, loam and seed, and temporary traffic control. Also included in the work is the installation of a new water main and hydrants on either side of the bridge, new insulated water main within a casing pipe supported by steel brackets on the upstream side of the bridge, removal and replacement of a temporary gravity sewer line on the downstream end of the bridge with a permanent insulated sewer line in a casing pipe supported by steel brackets, and installation of two new sewer manholes. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Bridge - Culvert, for the project with an estimated value of $1,321,000 will be required.
