Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Enfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of August 12, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been established as a pre-construction meeting has yet to be held. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. Prospective proposers must have a current sworn Statement (CON-16) on file with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and be prequalified to perform Group No. 8 (Minor Bridges) work. The payment of current prevailing wage rates established by State and Federal Department of Labor for various labor classifications shall be paid to workers on this Project. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
