The intent of this bid notice is to obtain an offer to perform work to construct the following: Reroof of the St. Joseph County Archives Building 1140 S Lafayette street South Bend, IN 46601 Provide a new low sloped membrane roof and associated work for the St. Joseph County Archives Building at its location at 1140 S Lafayette Street, South Bend, IN. The project entails a complete removal of the existing roof, new insulation, flashings and accessories per the plans and specifications. The proposed roof is approximately 20,490 SF of low slope membrane. The explanation above is a general description of the Work and does not necessarily describe all of the aspects of the project. Any corrections to the Bid Documents or additional information will be issued to all Plan Holders via Addenda. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities to any bid, to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid which is most favorable to the Owner. A Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond (equivalent to 125% of the amount of contract including all add alternates) will be required subsequent to award of contract and prior to the execution of the contract for construction (AIA document A312, latest edition). The cost for the Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond shall be included in the Bid Proposal. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid (including the maximum amount of the combination of all of the alternates) is required to be furnished with the bid proposal.
