The Work involves the construction of an approximately 27,541 square foot hospital addition. The Work includes site work, including paving, utilities and storm water, concrete foundation, steel superstructure, masonry and stone veneer, membrane roof, storefront and exterior glazing. Full interior build-out includes partitions, doors, casework, finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and sprinkler, and medical gas. BID SECURITY Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows: Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount on AIA A310 Bid Bond Form. The successful bidder, offered a Contract, is required to provide Performance and Payments Bonds from an acceptable surety, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum. INTERPRETATION, SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDENDA Bidders and Sub-Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request via email to David Butler, dbutler@kaim-inc.com. Deadlines for interpretations, substitutions and addendum are as stated above. Notice to Proceed: Within 45 days after due date. Completion date is critical due to requirements of OwnerÕs operations. OTHER CONDITIONS This project will be exempt from local and state sales tax. Refer to Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) form R-1020 and instructions to LDR R-1020. Final bid amount shall not include local or state sales tax. Allen Parish Hospital reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bidding, to take time as well as cost into account when evaluating the bids; and to accept the bid or bids that are in Allen Parish HospitalOs best interest. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids. In determining whether a bid is in Allen Parish HospitalOs best interest, Allen Parish Hospital may give due consideration to a bidderOs experience with projects of similar size and expense.
